Flash does not support direct setting and reading of cookies. Thus, you either have to take the often published detour of using JavaScript or you just use ASP scripts to set and read cookies.

A cookie is often used to identify a user. A cookie is a file that the server embeds on the user's computer. Each time the same computer requests for a page with a browser, it will send the cookie. With ASP, you can both create and retrieve cookies.
